Teacher's Background

Music has always been my passion and inspiration, and till this day I find it to be one of the most beautiful forms of art and self-expression.

I was born and raised in a large, musical family in Sacramento, CA and was constantly surrounded by beautiful sounds of various musical instruments. Most of my siblings and both of my parents played a musical instrument including piano, violin, accordion and guitar. We always enjoyed getting together on a regular basis to play music and sing songs to each other for many years. This has strengthened my desire to study music professionally and acquire expert-level skillset for my future musical career.

I began studying piano at a young age of 5 and two years later, I attended my first violin lesson. I started my musical career at an early age of 10, regularly performing violin and piano recitals, participating in formal and casual musical festivals and competitions, and playing for many different church choirs and other ensembles. I was hired to play numerous musical gigs including events such as weddings, birthday parties and anniversaries. For about five years, I was a member of a professional music-entertainment group until the age of 16.

In 2015, I became a student member of MTAC (Music Teachers Association of California). Through this program I obtained extensive musical knowledge and skill in performance, musicianship and musical artistry. In 2017, I graduated with a State Honor’s Certificate of Merit from MTAC. In 2021, I graduated from California State University of Sacramento with a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance and Education.

From the age of 15 I was also actively teaching music lessons in several different music schools in the area as well as teaching music workshops at local churches and other organizations. I was privileged to work with largely-diverse groups of students varying in ages from 4 to 80 years young!
